The rightwing needs to stop LYING about Clinton. 9-11 happened on Bush's watch and you can't pass the buck backwards, especially since Bush was AWOL on all terrorism until after 9-11 and though Clinton didn't act immediately, by 1997 he was actively trying to kill OBL and stop Al Qaida. Clinton's people then succeeded in stopping the 1999 LAX attack.

Richard Clarke, loyal to 4 presidents in a row, our #1 counter-terrorism czar has called the ABC drama 'Countdown to 9-11" "phony" and "fabricated". Also fabricated is the rightwing myth that Clinton was offered Bin Laden and turned him down. Never happened. In short, we have been attacked during Bush's watch, on 9-11, and he does not deserve a pass for that just because he rallied us as a nation after the attack. Espcially since his "war on terror" has now proven to be a collosal blunder, mainly in Iraq.
