LIES! CLinton was never offered Bin Laden by anyone.
What rightwing BS propaganda site did you cut and paste that portion of an un-named article from? You are really sleazy in your dishonesty. Just no ethics or morals whatsoever.

That article you posted is textbook propaganda. It misleads the reader into the false impressions without actually outright lying.

Indeed, Clinton and all his people steadfastly deny there was any such offer made. That has never been in question. What Clinton was talking about in 2002 was why he could not arrest Osama Bin Laden in the mid 90's, because there was not yet any direct intel connecting him to the embassy bombings. That came later. All they knew was that he was a troublemaker. And this is true. We don't just go arrest people on rumors. But as soon as Clinton got proof he went after Bin Laden big-time. 150 Cruise missiles is a lot of firepower.

Bush was totally AWOL on terrorism before 9-11. In 2001 did not lift a finger nor utter a single word against Bin Laden or AL Qaida. He ignored the 8-6-01 warning and called the FBI off Saudis in the US as the 9-11 team was organizing itself. WHy? Any excuses? Or do you give Bush a pass on this? If so, why? Because he's a Republican? And did Bush not do business withn the Bin Laden family at Armbusto?

In fact, in 2001 Richard Clarke, Clinton's pointman on Al Qaida was demoted and his operation disbanded. And Clarke told us that Condi Rice, so-called "security" advisor had never even heard of Al Qaida. This is what led to 9-11. Not Clinton. Bushies were completely asleep at the switch, maybe even intentionally. This is why Bushies must lie about Clinton, because the truth proves that Bush's entire "war on terror" posture is full of BS, and he wants us less safe, not more safe. In fact he wants us terrified.

It is incredible that AS won't even believe a direct quote from Clinton, "They released him. At the time, 1996, he had committed no crime against America so I did not bring him here because we had no basis on which to hold him..."

I think he might actually be nuts.
