For some time I was interested in the Sharp Zaurus which has a Linux OS:

It's no longer distributed in Europe, though.

But to be honest my interest in handheld devices is based less on the OS but either on good features or low cost. Some samples with different OS:

Nokia N93

OS: Symbian
An amazing smartphone with a 3 MP camera which can also be used for 640x480 30 frames/second video recording. Its lens is one of the first to offer 3x zoom. UMTS, Bluetooth, WiFi support.

HTC Universal

OS: Windows Mobile 5.0
A smartphone with a 640x480 (VGA) resolution display and a good QWERTY keyboard. UMTS, Bluetooth, WiFi support. Basically a mini notebook which can be used as a phone and also has a camera. Attractive as a mobile tool for server administration - several SSH applications are available.

Oko

OS: IXI-Connect
A company in Germany offers the Oko for € 10/month with an Internet flatrate. The device looks very tempting for basic mobile email and surfing. Much cheaper than any Blackberry offers.
