I watch The Dog Whisperer on the National Geographic channel.
I've learned more about dogs, and their training than ever before.


Yeah, me too.

Just shows that it is the owners who need the training.

As I watched Caesar's shows and listened to his philosophy, I realized that much of what he says about dogs, applies to humans as well.

We already have taught Dakota to heel and sit, using the leash and that calm assertive manner. He's learning his place in our pack.

So then I tried the calm assertive manner on the kids when they were acting up. They looked at me like, "Yeah right. Whatever." And then went right back to teasing each other.

I haven't gotten that one all figured out yet.

Perhaps there should be a show called the Rambunctious Child Whisperer.
