I used to hang out with a Kurd and a Syrian in college. We drank a ton of beer together. They seemed alright, except for one time. My Syrian friend Mahmoud was pretty well lit and out of nowhere told me, "You are evil and your country is evil." I thought that was very odd, since we had never had a cross moment before that. I just shrugged it off. Couldn't think of a reply to something like that. Later I wondered what that guy was up to, because he had graduated four years earlier and basically did nothing. Have no idea how he was supporting himself.
