Yes, I've seen many other numbers advanced by others, 180M, even 220M but on a different thread. But the whole concept of the democide is very interesting. Also this comment: See I was thinking of doing a book like that. In researching my first book I read numerous histories of different nations, Chinese, Japanese, Persian, Roman, and one thing I noticed. That the chances of any individual being killed, tortured, or imprisoned by a foreign enemy was actually quite slim. But the chances of being killed, tortured, or imprisoned by one's own government was actually hundreds of times greater.
