Another reason not to believe in reincarnation is that there's no evidence that it happens.

LOL. Good one!

There were "evidence" but they were routinely suppressed or ridiculed or rejected by all Christian groups as the work of Satan. This is quite understandable. Given the central tenet in Christianity that Christ came to die for us and to save us, what need is there for reincarnation? Furthermore, reincarnation is reviled as an pagan concept and as such it is verboten.

In the west we hear little or nothing about reincarnation for reasons already stated above. In eastern countries, however, folks do hear quite a lot about the reincarnations of individuals and some folks there make invitations to the departed to reincarnate into their families. But to them all that is no big deal as their religions, notably Buddhism and Hinduism, embrace reincarnation. In Tibet, each Dalai Lama of the past often gave indications of where he would be reincarnated and lamas and other devotees regularly went in search for him (when he is 2 - 3 years old) and identified him to be authentic on the basis of certain tests.

Many a child of Holocaust claimed he/she is the reincarnation of a Holocaust victim and gave convincing evidence of the fact. However, most of these cases have been regularly poohed-poohed, marginalised and forgotten. However, some believers bothered to document those cases.

FWIW, here are a couple of links for more info:
