the parts I saw really gave me the creeps

I saw a little of it while I was briefly awake in the middle of the night. I haven't looked at it closely enough to comment on the substance of it, but I thought Clinton looked freaky. I always get the creeps when folks are overly animated.

lied during the State of the Union speech

That was a press conference not a State of the Union speech.

Even Clinton would (hopefully) had enough sense not to make such a lie during a State of the Union speech.

To me the tip off to the lie was the phrase "that woman."

I was bowled over by the sense that he was lying just as the words left his mouth. In fact, I commented aloud to that effect just as it happened.

I've seen and heard similar disavowals over the years from men in similar circumstances. Perhaps that gave me an advantage. Or perhaps because my BS detector is sometimes hyper-sensitive.<g>

And does anyone else but me think Mr. Clinton needs to start using a different denture adhesive? It was either the medium I was listening through that was making his words sound slurried (the sound slipping dentures make) or his teeth were loose.

It wasn't just the lying that was obvious, his leaning forward and getting in Wallace's face, jabbing his forefinger and actually striking him a couple of times, or maybe he struck the clipboard he was holding. Either way, he was trying to intimidate and possibly threaten. That might be construed as assault in a court of law.

Easy to see how it came natural to him to threaten and intimidate the women who spoke up about his misdeeds.
