Ish, I have driven in the ice and snow in the Grand and Beautiful State of Missouri. I know what you mean. The difference is that people are naturally careful when driving in ice and snow; rain lulls them and they do crazy things.

I remember reading at the time of Mr. Kovacs accident and untimely death. As I sit here today, I cannot say with any conviction what he was driving or any other actual circumstances of the accident which took him away from us.

I do know, and have said over and over and over again, that the press in those days demonstrated greater decorum and discretion than does today's press. Also, the press as it existed then, was (for the most part) religiously scrupulous in ascertaining that what was put out in print and over the airways was truthful. - Holly
