"Why he's remained silent through this wingnut bullshit that he "let bin Laden go" has been a mystery to me." He even addressed that in the clip. Past presidents are often reluctant to openly criticize sitting presidents. Now they will often slip in comments and even sometimes say they wouldn't handle a given situation in the same way, but they try to keep it low-key. But that isn't good enough any more. Hopefully, Clinton will try to promote his program some more. Because when he does, the media will try these sort of gotchas. And Clinton is quick-witted enough to jerk the rug out from under them.

"All I can say is what took him so long?" Exactly! Anyone who's paid attention knows that Clinton made serious efforts to kill bin Laden, as documented in Richard Clarke's book. Why he's remained silent through this wingnut bullshit that he "let bin Laden go" has been a mystery to me. We all know that with the notable exception of BJs, Clinton's timing is impeccable and his political savviness quotient is close to 100 with 100 being perfect. I also suspect he knew that his interview with Wallace was a set up and he went prepared. I think he figured this was the time to do as much damage as possible to the already crippled credibility of the GOP. Like the rest of us, I think he believes this is the year real Americans take back their country.
