"It matters not whether approval ratings plummet when you know your policies are correct." You've hit the nail on the head. Clinton was more interested in his image (and still is) than he was on doing what needed to be done. As is evidenced on these threads, President Bush has put up with more criticism and is suffering from lower poll numbers than Clinton did. The difference is that he doesn't allow that to sway his policies....like Clinton did. That is more obvious now after that "interview" than ever before.
