Between her being hung out to dry and the right wing caterwauling for her hide, she probably is becoming dimly aware that she ain't in Kansas any more and the lunatics have taken over the asylum. I am sure that Colin Powell came to the same, grim realization.

I don't think Condi liked the job of saying we were "for Peace" while rushing jetloads of cluster bombs to Israel. She is smart enough to be aware of how stupid her assertion was that we were promoting killing NOW to avoid more killing LATER. Perhaps she finally realized she's just a credibility source for an administration that has none of it's own, as Colin Powell was. Now, if either she OR Powell actually had integrity, they would have resigned and blown the whistle on the clowns they worked for. But that hasn't happened.
