All the more respect for talents such as yours.

For a time I took to sketching people's faces in boring meetings I had to attend. It kept me awake, and I'm sure those of us in the meeting could tell who was depicted by comparison. But I realize I have no real talent. There are many different kinds of talent. My two sisters are talented writers. My mother was a talented singer. My Dad could visualize a function for virtually any old piece of junk, and we had to get rid of a lot of it after he died because he didn't get around to everything that he had visualized and we didn't have the vision. My daughter can do calligraphy, oil painting, virtually any kind of art. My son is talented with mechanical things, and is probably one of the more successful members of my family in some ways.

Once in high school I drew a picture of myself shooting at a bear in the woods. That's the only example I can remember where I could see composition in my drawing.

Motor skills are important in your field, I'm sure. That's where I am pretty ham handed.
