The Russians are backing Iran with scientific, military, and construction assistance. Don't believe for a minute Iran is in charge; they may think they are. But in the dialectic model, just as in the koran, the end justifies the means. When has the Putin's Russia shown evidence they bow to public opinion? Russia will destroy Iran after Iran serves their purpose when and if they become an impediment to Soviet global conquest. Right now Iran and the rest of the muslim nuts are depleting the West using themselves and children as human bombs among other things. The cost to Putin's Russia is nil as long as the 72-virgin myth survives muslim scrutiny. Islam, and Iran in particular, have departed so far from their professed religious beliefs that they embrace an atheistic nation as friend -- odd isn't it, Israel and the US are Satanic twins in their eyes?
