Judging from what I see around my hospital, 25-30% seems low. Case managers, discharge planners, all those jerks on the other end of the phone saying "You aren't authorized to do that test",... We now have such a good system people are going to India for surgery. And I can remember when Arab princes came here to be treated. Outsourcing Your Heart Elective surgery in India? Medical tourism is booming, and U.S. companies trying to contain health-care costs are starting to take notice time.com
