The NY Times adheres to the strictest journalistic standards. The only time they ever put out major articles which were untrue was when they decided to trust Bush-Cheney in 2003. That's the only time they've had to retract major articles after the fact. Those phony stories were at the heart of Bush-cheney's deliberately dishonest reasons for going to war, a war which has now decimated our military and made terrorism stronger.

The Times remains the finest newspaper in the country and a true defender of the peoples' right to know what's going on in our govermment. if you read it in the Times, 99.9% of the time it's true.

"Government of the people, by the people and for the people" is not just a slogan, it's the foundation of our democracy. Without it, we slide toward fascism, exactly where Bushies like you want to take us.

Also, as Thomas Jefferson stated, our democracy needs a strong press willing and able to take on any corrupt president who deems himself above the law. Which is exactly what we have now.
