Sabato never heard a thing The Virginian-Pilot reports that Larry Sabato never heard George Allen say the "Sen. Byrd" word. Check out the "story" "The fact is that he did use the 'n' word, whether he's denying it or not. He did use it." said Sabato on Chris Matthews Hardball on MSNBC. The Pilot digs deeper: "My sources are former classmates who came to me with stories that matched up," Sabato said late Monday night. "I never solicited them. They came to me during the past few months." So, former classmates who never said a thing to Sabato for years and years suddenly have an independent urge to tell Sabato "Byrd-word" stories during this campaign. And off runs Sabato to the tv cameras. Hint, Larry, if people who never said a thing about George Allen and the "Byrd Word" for 30 years suddenly come up to you during a campaign "unsolicited" with stories, you'll look pretty stupid pledging on national television that their stories are true. The Pilot adds "Sabato was once closely affiliated with the state Democratic party and worked in the 1970s in the gubernatorial campaigns of Henry E. Howell, a noted liberal. He now is director of U.Va.'s nonpartisan Center for Politics." Another "non-partisan" UVA thing. Of course. Look. I don't know if the "allegations" are true. I wasn't there. Sabato should've said the same thing. And I make no claim to being non-partisan. After this, Sabato can't either. hrpolitics.blogspot.com

What makes the NYT believe ANYONE without proof from something someONE said back in the 1970's and/or 1980's???????? If this was true, since Allen has been a Representative, Senator and Governor....Wouldn't anyone with half a brain, know that IF it were true, it would have come out 25-35 YEARS ago????? Or does anyone think that the Democrats headed by FARLEFT Howard Dean and funded by George Soros, is trying to knock the candidates they think they can, out of the race for the US Senate. One by One..... I think their standard mode is to say as many rotten, lying things they can to the media, and let the things just fester. These Dem creeps think they can "green garbage" their way into Senate seats by buying it, and lying and trying to destroy people to get them.
