That is why our fleet sailed South away from Pearl leaving only ships that were due to be scrapped within two years.

The US fleet was destroyed at Pearl
The code was broken later and enabled the US to catch the Japanese fleet by surprise at Midway
Get the history right please. I was in Washington at the War Production Board at the time
