In the point of view I was responding to, Al Qaeda isn't the enemy; at the very least, it's George W. Bush ("the Antichrist"), at worst, America, that is the enemy of humankind and destroyer of the world.

Well I suppose we could ask the Keebler elves to help..... OTOH George Bush is simply a man who is trying to do a job, and the US military is trying to do what it can to do the right thing, if the lunatic fringe doesn't like it, oh well.

Maybe Clinton wouldn't have gone into Iraq, maybe Saddam would still be committing genocide, maybe genocide of Kurds is preferable to rabid Muslims killing each other. Personally I suspect the Kurds are happier this way so perhaps George Bush is to them an Angel of Light bringing relief from slaughter to them.

I can see how democrats prefer the quiet slaughter of the defenseless with the US safely out of harms way, and I understand how much easier it is to allow thousands to die quietly rather than the noise of a country at war. Bill Clinton was president while Saddam was killing the Kurds So what can I say, maybe if a democrat wins in 2008 the US can hide while islam destroys the world around them. It wouldn't be the first time the US sat on it's hands and watched innocents die.
