No kidding ... I went to law school at the University of North Carolina. Now, seriously. That place is supposed to be a bright light of progressiveness in the South. My ass!

I really enjoyed going there. Don't get me wrong. But I met some of the dumbest f**kers I've ever met in my life while at law school there.

The South is also a very closed society. The top 10-15% of my first year class made the law review. That was heavily weighted toward out-of-staters. Then, the board of editors got to pick the next year's board of editors. Every single person chosen to be on the law review's editorial board my final year of law school was an in-stater.

Remember, Jesse Helms was elected five times by the citizenry of North Carolina.

The South has good weather, ACC basketball, SEC football, and New Orleans. Other than that, it's a bastion of regressive conservatism and currently leading the Christian jihad in the Middle East.

Good night ... good luck ... and good news tomorrow.

Gosh I am glad you guys feel that way about the south. Does this mean all those New Jersey folks are going to stop moving here, like, right away????
We're gonna keep the hockey team, though. :)
