Although overall waiting times fell slightly from 2004 to 2005, they were 90 percent longer in 2005 than in 1993

Strangely enough 1993 was about the year the Liberals came to power, and they have only just been defeated...... Federally the Liberals cut drastically the amount of money the Federal Government gave to the provinces. Needless to say that if the US decides to go for a federal health care system, that is one of the big stinky holes the States will need to be aware of. Feds cutting funding and just expecting the States to keep up the payments.
