Past generations which considered themselves civilized would rather let a fugitive get away if capturing him would put innocent lives in jeopardy. It is noteworthy that none of us are talking about the innocent Iraqi lives being taken everyday after the US military matched into Iraq. To me, every innocent life is valuable whether they are American or otherwise. We indeed have to deal with the terrorists but at what cost in terms of human life. Clinton tried to nail Osama while at the same time respecting and protecting every human life. He pinpointed terrorists cells and fired missiles to ensure that he gets only the terrorists and not thousands of innocent lives when doing so. Furthermore, the Bushies do not even respect US military lives. They just believe in ordering our young men and women to war without any thought for their safety. No proper gear provided, not enough people etc. even the generals are unhappy as evidenced by the speaking out of recently retired generals. Anyway, I hope the people take matters in their own hands in November 2006 and ensure that they send those folks into Congress who are for the war on terrorism but not for the war in Iraq. The real war on terrorism is actual in the outskirts of Kabul where the Taliban is on the rise. The war on terrorism is on the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. The Muslims of the world, the Muslim youths would applaud Bush the moment he decides to point his missiles in those areas which harbors people who not only have declared war on a civilized society but who have hijacked the Islam religion and caused it to be erroneously despised by others.
