You have already taken one by showing up here. The very fact this thread exists free from the partisan wars pisses off a noticeable number of less well-mannered characters. Second, look at the candidates you can vote for next month and don't vote for the clowns who fall back on partisan cliches. I think just about every incumbent in Washington should be voted against just on principle. Third, look for articles and commentary that reflect a centrist view and post them here, or links. That way they reach a wider audience. As for fixing the whole political mess tomorrow, forget it. But I find this a useful forum to do something different, separate from the usual flame contests.
