I used to read Tim Wood as part of the 21 Century package... not an easy read. I would tend to agree with you that the last few months of the year do not offer good odds for bearish bets. But then again - the Fall of a mid-term year is usually a bad time for bullish bets... and look what happened... -g.

good points Paul, thxs. fwiw there's only been 1 down year since 1930 immediately following this cycle turn for the snp too, per Rainsford Yang's research.
