"Lies under oath on material issues are perjury, a criminal offense. Ask
Mark Furman about that one.

I don't know Mark but I asked my old college room mate (an attorney, who has also served on the bench) how often people lie in the cases he works on. He said it happens in almost every case. I ask if they get caught. He said that they often do. I asked how many times anyone had been charged with perjury in his 30 years or so of work, he rolled his eyes and said it doesn't happen except in sensational cases, so just forget about it.

You are an attorney aren't you? Do you agree with my old friend's comments? eh...he prolly lied about it... how depressin'
