It shows a lack of class to get angry when ambushed in an interview, but shows a lot of class to cuss out a colleague.

There is no evidence to date that suggests Cheney considers a Democratic senator to be a colleague. On the contrary, he probably though saying "fuck you" was being thoughtful and polite given his position vis-a-vis that of a Democratic senator.
