You are mixing the crucial degree of redistribution.

I'm focusing on the underlying concept, which is redistribution. They have that in common. The differentiation upon which you are focused is real and something with which I am familiar. It's just below the radar when in broad-brush abstraction mode.

I've already acknowledged the sensitivity of the "M" word. "Redistributionist" works as a substitute. I should have come up with that one before.
