Well, I think he was being cautious back then. I'd never say he was like the MSFT folks years ago before their stock peaked who always tried to talk down the analysts expectations because the PE for MSFT was too high. I looked at Chambers trying to "contain expectations" but still always optimistic... of course, a good CEO should be optimistic or they should get a new one.
