Pat Buchanan is, to my way of thinking, a very insightful person on the issues, although he often oversteps the boundries of "acceptable" discourse (remember his culture war speech at the republican convention in 92)....he has been worried about the immigration issue forever, and he has been a real advocate of protecting the American middle class from job erosion and stupid government policy (although his tactics here again lead to him not being taken as seriously as he should for the truth of the underlying arguments he makes). Pat is rallying the real old Republican core and calling them home on many key issues. I agree his piece today was one of his best. Congress needs to do its job!
