We have plenty of oil for right now. The problem is that oil reserves are getting much more difficult to replace. We are having to dig 30,000 feet under the ocean at dayrates exceeding $500,000 to find new reserves. These kind of deep water finds are rare since the integrity of oil decomposes at those levels. You have to find geological formations that will keep the oil cool enough.

Yeah, there are trillions of barrels of oil if you want to count oil sands, oil shale, and other syncrude replacements. Imagine filling a 40 gallon hydrogen twice a week when you are only getting 6 mpg. It would cost $200 a week to drive a bmw, like the one they are bragging about.

Can you imagine the cost of heating oil shale to 450 cels. to make a barrel of crude? I would love to have the utility plant next to that refinery. The only viable replacement to crude oil will be liquified coal according to the experts. We are coming closer with companies like btu and aci to providing on site plants to convert waste coal into transportation fuels.

The Arabs need to start learning some manners to survive economically in the long term. They can't continue to support terrorists that alienate the ME from their oil loving customers in America. Already, Canada and Mexico are more important oil importers than Saudi Arabia. Venezuela learned their intolerant attitude toward the US will cost them mega dollars. Adios Citgo. No more gas at 711. I should go buy a slurpee to celebrate.

Russia and the US can start replacing barrels in the open market. Iraq is coming back on the market. The goons from OPEC need to learn some manners. They can't wave the middle finger at the US every day and expect people to keep doing business with them.
