LIAR! Bush and Bush only allowed 9-11 to happen. MSNBC just presented hard proof Bush was AWOL on terrorism including ignoring many dire warnings of imminent Al Qaida attacks prior to 9-11, and that he subsequently lied saying they could not have anticipated 9-11, when they were warned of attacks similar to those, hijacking planes to fly into targets. In fact, Al Qaida had a known history of plotting such aerial attacks. Also proven, it was not proven that USS Cole was attacked by Al Qaida until Bush's first month in office and he did absolutely nothing in response. Zero. Clarke presented Rice with a detailed comprehensive Clinton plan for dealing with Al Qaida in January 2001. It was totally ignored. And Rice lied about that yesterday. Watch Countdown now as Richard Clarke's righthand man speaks for the first time to detail how Bush's White House totally ignored all dire warnings despite being warned again and again, including by top democrats in the senate like Levin and Feinstein. Plus they ignored Hart-Rudman's warnings. In fact the Bush WH did not even meet about Al Qaida until Sept 4 after ignoring the 8-6-01 warning for a full month. Nothing was done. Nothing.
