I hear you .. and I would agree with you on north Am NATGAS.. I don't hold any contender here..

Explorers have another HUGE problem: their inability to generate cashflow in the nearterm. Conceptually their valuation is A REAL OPTION. The properties of a real option make them even more susceptible to pricing of the underlying commodities.. moreover the price of their next financing (no cashflow !) is equally related to the underlying price of the commodities.

My choice are OIL (!) - not Natgas producers that can significantly ramp up production in the midterm and that have exploration upside.. say UEN.L, ROC.AX, AXC.TO and the like.. even ATPG might look acceptable but I'm not closely looking at it now. My thesis is that if a producer can significantly ramp up, the pricing environment beyond a certain point becomes less an issue.. for example ROC Oil going from 100boepd to 12000boepd this year..
