I am an expert at christianity and christ's teachings, and not one of his his major teachings do the religious right observe or support. Love, peace, forgiveness, extreme charity and tolerance. Plus being good shepherds and stewards of God's natural world.

Jesus did not castigate people for having sex. In fact his righthand lady was a prostitute. And if you believe in the virgin birth you might as well also believe in the tooth fairy.
