I just think a lot of Americans are getting pretty sick of having the rest of the world criticizing us. No matter what we do, we're wrong.. We try and hold Iraq accountable to the UNSC and we're starving Iraqi children and warmongering.. We try to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons and we accused of being a hegemonist power.. We involve all the neighboring states of N.Korea in negotiating the dismantlement of their nuclear weapons program and then we're criticized for being too stubborn to hold bilateral talks with the "Dear Son"... I say p*ss on you all.. We're going to do what we think needs to be done, regardless of your criticism. And if what we do doesn't work, then we always have the option of telling the world to kiss our @sses and we'll crawl into our economic shell, create a "Fortress Amerika" and let you all fend for yourselves... Hope you know Chinese.. What's lacking is a robust and well-structured constitution. No.. what's lacking are the necessary elements to make such a world government function. You simply can't mix non-democratic and democratic states into some global Federal republic. That's the problem with the UN.. we permitted it to be populated by non-democratic governments. And even worse, we permitted non-democratic governments to populate the UN security council, the organization responsible for resolving conflicts around the world. This was essentially the equivalent of giving the fox the keys to the henhouse, and diluting the moral value of the UN. I can only imagine what would happen in the US if a non-democratic political party was elected in one of the constituent states. Imagine Michigan electing a Hamas style government, or S. Carolina electing the Nazis to office.... Hawk
