"The central issues and challenges facing the US cannot and will not be solved with guns." War is supposed to be the "diplomacy of the last resort". Every American President comes into office with the world's largest military funded by a gun budget as large as the rest of the world combined. The temptation for the weak and unwise to go ASAP for the guns must be immense. WE should correct the situation, and have a right sized military. A military sufficient to defend THIS country.
