The Canadian economy is booming and will continue to boom as long as commodities continue their bull, which IMO has many years left to run (including the inevitable corrections along the way). But more importantly, we have our financial houses in order -- the national and provincial governments are running large surpluses that always come in higher than forecast and are rapidly paying down debt. The province of Alberta is as you would expect furthest along this curve; it has no remaining debt. We are in a sweet spot, as long as we continue to diversify away from our overwhelming economic integration with the United States. It's happening -- Brazilian, Chinese, Indian and other companies are knocking on our doors every day. LC
