He always was a moron. Typical Democrat.....As, unfortunately, are you. " Jimmy "surrendered Iran to the Ayatollah?" ???? You can't imagine how grateful I am to have a fine mind like yours highlight that fact for me. Aside from missing my dates on the longevity of Islam, I was not even aware that we'd had possession of Iran and had been in a position to "surrender it." In the course of my erratic Moronic mental wanderings somewhere or another I'd picked up the quaint notion that Iran had been a sovereign nation. What were the terms of the surrender? How foolish of Jimmy. If he'd been tougher with Iran we could have gotten started with this "you'll take democracy and pro-western values as governance or we'll shoot up a bunch of you and occupy your nation" stuff a lot earlier. We wouldn't have had to endure the relative peace of the 80's and 90's and we might have been able to prolong the cold war with the Communists, or, bliss, bliss, even have been able to entice them into fighting a hot war with America. And the Iranians wouldn't have been, prior to the Iraqi invasion, the Middle Eastern nation most likely to have turned democratic and wouldn't have been the nation with the most pro-democracy, free thinking and western-acting majority of young people in the region. Thank goodness Doubleya invaded in Iraq, rattled his sword and threatened their nation, intimated that it was a crusade and pushed them back into the radical camp. "I have no doubt that 30 years ago you were convinced of the "inevitablity" of Communism. " You should have doubts. 30 years ago I was convinced that we had to have a strong defense to guarantee that we wouldn't be told how we should live by the communists but I was also convinced that we shouldn't start a war and force our views of how they should live on them. But then I'm evidently too Jimmy Carterish to suit you. By the way, how's your George Bushish thing getting along in the real world? PS, If you manage to study up and pass the mensa test, please don't crow about it here. Some of the posters may belong to one mensa club or another and we don't want to shame them. I am, by the way, a Moron. (We aways capitalize "Moron.") We have our own club. We test by giving out the mensa test. If you understand that it's a test and try to answer, you're automatically disqualified. If you try to eat the paper you're automatically a member. It's a good club...lotsa paper to eat these days...but the people out trying to register Republicans hound us like crazy. Our club motto is: "Roses are red Violets are blue I'm a Moron And ....." We're almost finished with our motto but that last line is a tough one. What rhymes with "red?" Ed
