Thanks. I was familiar with the texts cited on that page. Among them, the only one that is unambiguously anti-homosexual is the one passage from Leviticus about lying with another man as with a woman. All the others require a big stretch of "interpretation" to be made to apply.

If we're going to base our laws and ethics on Leviticus, though, we have to accept a few other things that it is very specific about. Death penalty for adulterers. No eating shellfish or pork. And of course it says we should all be making burnt offerings of bulls in our backyards to "make a pleasing odor for the Lord", and that it's OK to make slaves of the people whose lands border ours.

I'm not going to claim that my opinion should be a moral authority above any others, but it seems to me that if one is "cherry picking" from the Bible to support a viewpoint, one is not on solid theological ground.
