Those Dems are likely from red states. You know, the GOP are experts at running phony negative ads accusing Dems of being "weak on defense". As cynical as that is, until voters stop being affected by those ads, dems have to cover their backsides. I'm sure those Dems would have voted against it if it wasn't a shoe-in to pass anyway. The real problem though is that too many poeople believe the Bushie propaganda, like that Bush has been protecting us from terrorism and keeping us safer. That is malarky, but the myth hasn't been shattered quite yet.
