What I disagree with him is when he brings in this neocon thing. The neocons are finished too in my opinion.

The neocons are very much in charge in DC even though every one of their hare-brained schemes has turned into a big mess.

Bush has to establish a link between his fight against terrorism and Iran.

He has already done it. The RW echo chamber is reverberating with shouts about how Iran supports terrorists everywhere etc. etc.

He has to prove to his allies why is he not nuking N. Korea also and why just Iran.

He doesn't have to prove anything to anybody. He is The Decider.

I am more apprehensive of Karl Rove and the October surprise than Bush nuking Iran.

Yes, I agree with that. But only because the October surprise is likely to happen first. Nuking Iran will come later.
