pomp, That is just wrong. If there was no zoning against it, those people should have had the right to do anything on their land that the law allows. You did say you were up in the northwest didn't you? From what I've seen, Washington is the most liberal state in the union, which surprises me to a degree. I am guessing that the population of Seattle is mainly liberals in businesses like Microsoft, etc. and their votes overshadow the people of the land. Those that settled Washington were people that fended for themselves and were rugged independent individuals, like the rest of the people that built this nation. IMO, they are getting shafted.
