Maybe since Walmart & Target are reducing certain 'script drugs to $4.00 per monthly fill the US govt. will find a way to reduce it's SS checks/payouts based on that consumer savings alone...

Kinda like a reverse COLA.

We know all that.

We know that there is no Social Security surplus.

We know that huge trade and budget deficits, enormous and unfunded SS and Medicare liabilities and a 9 trillion dollar national debt will haunt this country in the future and have an ugly impact on the futures of our children and grandchildren.

The craven pols we send to D.C. won't do anything about SS because anyone who tries will be tossed out of office in the next election.

as i recall,in the idea about privatization the gov would first borrow enough money to make up for the lose of contributions.
