Tom, the other thing is that Musharaff cannot take out the Taliban or bin laden becasue it would be political suicide and the United nations troops in Afghanistan cannot go into Pakistan whre they hide. Bin Laden is more popular than Musharaff in Pakistan. No taliban have been arrested in Pakistan since 2002?? The delima above has never been spelled out to the american people. Michael Ware and Peter Bergan have been reporting for years that the war in Iraq is just causing more jihadests to form death squades. Bob Woodwards book has really shown that the american people are not bering told the truth about how bad things are just as they were not told the truth about Vietnam.
