It is very hard to understand people from other cultures and other religions and other regions of the world. Partly because, even though in many ways we're all alike, some of the belief systems are simply incompatible with each other. I recently read an article about the origin of suicide bombing, written by a Muslim, who says it's a Western invention. When I read what he writes, I feel like I fell through the looking glass and everything on the other side is the exact opposite of what it is over here.
