DonR, I came to florida from Texas, and back there I knew many of the police force, sheriff dept., and two Texas Rangers. It was not hard to be very impressed by these brave men that lay their lives on the line to protect citizens like us. That punk could have surrendered at any time, taken into custody, and have his day in court. But what did he do? He raised up out of his hiding place under a rotten tree, with a gun in his hand pointed at the posse. He asked to be killed, and they obliged him. The sad thing is, that the gun the perp was aiming at the posse, was the one he took from the dead deputy. The life of a law enforcement officer is far more necessary than the life of a thug. Some criminals just need killing.
