After reviewing the notes from our last conversation, about a month ago, I got bold and made a call. Mark Wilson answered the phone. The conversation highlights are as follows: Mr. Anderson is NOT being compensated either by salary or by stock. His interest is to get the best products deployed in the field right now. This is a man who has the attention of the right people since he has a seat at the table and not just a foot in the door. Fantastic news, this is a man who clearly wants to be associated with hmsg at this important point in their development. Everyone is on pins and needles waiting for the announcement about the body armor. This means not just hmsg, but other contractors who have put in bids as well. He did not know what day this week the DOD will announce, but it will be this week. Once done, if hmsg gets a contract, Sgt Wilson will get a PR out asap. Smaller PO's continue to come in and they are working their butts off to get them processed and the products shipped. With regards to the body armor, I asked if the fact that hmsg is a new and albeit small company, was the govt having issues with actually getting the gear in the time allotted and shipped to the various destinations. He said no. One of the most important things to be able to do is to have inventory on hand ready to ship once the order is placed. In this regard, hmsg is ready to ship body armor. He also emphasized that hmsg has sent some armor over to IRAQ and that the troops love it and want it now. What they have now is level 3 ceramic which is not stopping armor piercing bullets. The plates are so heavy that in many cases the troops are simply not wearing it at all, too cumbersome. This is unacceptable. My conclusions: As we all know, this company is the real deal in every way one would want a new company to be. At some point their footprint will become visible for all to see. I do not know if they will get this first body armor contract, but I do not see this in terms of if, but only of when. Hope this has been of some help. glta, mega
