ElM, Islamic Jihad has the upper hand in such a contest because they enthusiastically believe in killing to get their way. Buddhists specifically don't. So, even a minority of murdering thugs might be able to get their way. And, what a surprise, it's a Moslem who has conducted the coup and in fact has the upper hand and is doing what he likes.

So, for now, your theory is wrong: <the vast majority is Budhist. Moslems are a tiny minority near the Malaysia. I don't think the Moslens can get the upper hand.>

The vast majority in New Zealand is sheep, but we eat them regularly. We, the minority, have the upper hand, and use it to our advantage. It isn't the numbers, it's the power.

Saddam was a minority of Tikritis and Sunni mates in Iraq, but they ran the show. England was a little country, but it ran an empire that stretched around the world.

I have always thought of Thailand as a nice place. I guess that's about to change.
