Also Otellini at least made some good decisions of which CMW and a more equal pricing structure are temporary results.

CMW was handed to him. Give credit to Barrett for that one.

Elmer explained how he got to 7M without rebuttal. Whether it's 6 or 7M in 60 days, that is plain good imo - it's starting to get significant.

I never commented on that point. My points were directed at the Intel architecture, and their performance over the last 3 years, versus AMD's.

No matter how good Barratt and Otellini were, they lost a lot of Market share to AMD. They also lost prestige, claiming 64bit computing wasn't necessary, and then copying it, etc.

The generalities clearly favor AMD over Intel regarding the last three years in which each company has gone in opposite directions.

The guy at the top, is always the responsible guy.

Absolving someone as Ephud has done because a problem was started under someone does not make him blameless.
