Most people are not aware that current Hudood Laws in Pakistan dictate that if a woman is raped, she must provide 4 Male witnesses to the crime! And if she is unable to do so, she herself will be punished and possibly prosecuted for adultery!

And yes, Bush does not have the guts to tell President Musharraf that if he does not reign in the terrorists by a particular deadline then he would send in the US military to flush them out, similar to what he did with Saddam.

Why? What does Iraq have that Pakistan does not. The Indian military was poised to walk i nto Pakistan about 2 years ago but was dissuaded from doing so by the US! Why? It is Pakistan and Afghanistan where terror needs to be confronted, not Iraq. But unfortunately, the US wants to go after Iraqi oil, not after the opium growers and Taliban in rural Afghanistan or those Al Qaeda hideouts in Pakistan.

I say, carpet bomb those areas like they did in Vietnam. If Bush were to order that tomorrow, the opinions of the Americans would turn around immediately against the Republicans in November 2006.

Just my 2 cents.
