.Sure... AMD doesn't have a dual-core chip either because there is only one memory controller instead of two. Until AMD has quad-channel DDR they don't have a "true" dual-core either. AMD's cores don't share L2 cache, another strike against being a "real" dual-core CPU....

Why should a quad core chip need to have more than one memory controller, Intel has no memory controllers on its core, does that mean it has no cores?

The memory controllers in all Multiple core AMD chips communicate with all the cores as they must.

It's also not a chip for entertainment PCs because it doesn't throw confetti. Lack of a little spinning red light makes it unusable for mission critical applications.
